The Volunteer Action Center of the Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay has a long list of projects in need of volunteers. Opportunities include one-time efforts as well as long- term commitments in the Jewish and general communities.

In addition to providing immigrants and refugees with tutoring and other services, volunteers can work on restoring native habitat in wilderness areas, mentor new businesspersons who are turning their lives around, help out at Jewish cultural events and play with children whose parents are attending job-training classes.
