Marcy Jean Levey, daughter of Cheryl and Lew Levey of St. Louis and Brian Jeffrey Tivol, son of Nancy and David Tivol of Sunnyvale, were married March 19 at the Contemporary Museum of Art in St. Louis. Rabbi Howard Kaplansky of the United Hebrew Temple officiated.

The art-themed ceremony and reception were held in the museum’s galleries. The couple, who met in Boston, sent blank canvases in lieu of “save the date” notices asking them to fill them in. The result was a collection of art created for the couple by their 125 guests.

Floral arrangements inspired by the couple’s favorite works of art graced the tables at the reception.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in graphic communications from Washington University and an advanced degree at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta. She is an art director. Grandparents are Gerry and Phil Smith of St. Louis, the late Jean and Cyril Levey and Birdie Levey of Cleveland. She is the sister of Jonathan Levey of Santa Monica and Gretchen and Joshua Levey of St. Louis.

The groom earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science and film and media studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a software engineer at Google. Grandparents are Rita Stock and the late Morton Stock of San Mateo and Helen Tivol and the late Leonard Tivol of San Francisco. He is the brother of Steven Tivol of San Jose.

After a honeymoon in Spain, the couple now lives in Palo Alto.
