Cheryl and Martin Gewing are delighted to announce their marriage on Nov. 20. The couple wed at Robert Stone Reception Hall, located at the Benicia Historical Museum at the Camel Barns in Benicia, Calif.

Rabbi Jay Heyman and The Rev. Lisa Telomen, the bride’s younger sister, conducted a humanistic ceremony followed by dinner and a contra dance called by Gaye Fifer, the bride’s older sister. David Gewing, Martin’s son, was ring-bearer.

The bride toasted her husband’s sense of humor, and he toasted his wife’s love and patience.

Those attending the wedding included Gaye Fifer of Charlottesville, Va. and her daughter, Rachel; and the Rev. Lisa Telomen of Naperville, Ill. The bride’s parents, Harland and Quessie Krell of Pleasant Hill, Tenn., were unable to attend. Other relatives of the bride attending included her uncle, Gene Krell of Chicago; cousins Craig Krell of San Ramon, Calif., and Ruth Wernis of Chicago, along with her son, Kevin Wernis.

Relatives of the groom attending the wedding included his parents, Walter and Anna Gewing of San Ramon, his son, David Gewing of Vallejo; two siblings, Shimon Gewing of Toronto, Canada; Ruth Gewing-Mullins of Dublin, Calif. along with their respective spouses, Shula Derechinsky and Dianna Gewing-Mullins and respective children, Carmi Gewing, Krystle and Jaclyn Mullins and Jordan Gewing-Mullins; uncle Heinz Gewing and his partner Eileen Barr of Dublin, Calif.; cousins Jenny Andrus of San Francisco and her two children Nicky and Sasha, and Dina Gewing of Oakland.

Other relatives who attended included Robin Miller of Walnut Creek and Andrea Atkins with her husband Steve Arnold of Vallejo.

About 80 people attended the wedding.

The couple joyfully honeymooned in Angels Camp, Calif.
