Monday, Nov. 18 events begin at 10 a.m. with Nancy Ring, author of “Walking on Walnuts.” Her book reveals some of the pitfalls of working as a pastry chef in New York’s posh restaurants, and provides recipes and stories about her Jewish family.

At 7:30 p.m. Daniel Beaver, a therapist who wrote “More Than Just Sex,” will tell how to spice up a long-term relationship. Cost for either Monday lecture is $4 for members, $7 for nonmembers.

Historian Irena Narell will talk about her book “Our City: The Jews of San Francisco” at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. Then at 7:30 p.m. Louise Fiszer and Jeannette Ferrary will cook up a batch of latkes as described in their “Jewish Holiday Feasts.” Cost for either event is $4 for members, $7 for nonmembers.

At 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 Victor Perera will present his book “The Cross and the Pear Tree,” which tells of his Sephardic family and their escape from the Inquisition. Tickets are $4 for members, $7 for nonmembers.

In a Midrasha program following at 7:30 p.m., the Rev. Douglas Huneke of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Tiburon will discuss “The Stones Will Cry Out,” his book about non-Jewish teenagers who helped Jews escape the Nazis.

Following the free program, the Bilha Sperling Award for Outstanding Holocaust Education will be presented.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 Daniel Matt will discuss the roles of science and religion in the Creation from his book “God and the Big Bang.” Cost is $4 for members, $7 for nonmembers.

At an 11:30 a.m. lunch on Friday, Nov. 22, Iris Rainer Dart will present her latest novel “Show Business Kills,” about a Hollywood soap opera actress and her friends. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members.

A keynote address will be given at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 by Naomi Rosenblatt, author of “Wrestling with Angels.” She will present modern-day lessons from the Book of Genesis. Cost is $15 for members, $20 for nonmembers.

Sunday, Nov. 24 will be for kids. A children’s program starts at 12:30 p.m. with Mira Reisberg, daughter of Holocaust survivors, and illustrator of “Leaving for America.”

She will be joined by Joanna Kraus, who wrote “Tall Boy’s Journey” based on her experience adopting a Korean son, and Deborah Lee Rose, who wrote “The Rose Horse” about America’s Jewish carousel carvers. Cost is $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers. Children under age 3 admitted free. Food will be available for purchase.
