Mitzvah Day, Temple Sinai’s annual day of community service, is on April 25. Volunteers can choose from more than a dozen different service projects sponsored by the Oakland synagogue.
The day kicks off with a pancake breakfast, followed by a 10 a.m. lecture by Ruth Messinger, president of American Jewish World Service, speaking on “Deeds and Darfur: The Power of Our Actions to Make a Difference.”
