The effects of stress and trauma on immigrant children and families will be the topic of a symposium presented by the S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services’ Child Trauma Training Institute  on Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29.

Expert clinicians from JFCS, other agencies and academia will offer the latest findings about trauma faced by immigrants from a range of communities.  They will also discuss the most effective ways to assist them.

 The symposium will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 28 and 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at JFCS, 2150 Post St., San Francisco. Cost is $100 for the April 28 session and $50 for the April 29 session. For registration and information, call (415) 449-2452.
