High school students and their parents are invited to “The Challenges of Being Jewish on College Campuses in the Bay Area,” a discussion between college students and community professionals from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 23 in Palo Alto.

Presented by the Anti-Defamation League, S.F.-based Jewish Community Relations Council and Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, the event will offer advice specific to teens and parents about forging Jewish connections on college campuses, how to combat anti-Semitism and where to find resources.

Panelists include Julie Bernstein, director of community and campus programs for JCRC; Gary Yevelev, U.C. Berkeley student; and Maya Kostyanov, San Jose State University student and Silicon Valley Hillel member. ADL board member Judy Colvin will moderate.
