Chabad of Marin is giving away mezuzahs this summer.

Chabad will install a free mezuzah on any Jewish home in Marin County that does not already have a kosher mezuzah. “We will also be giving people the opportunity to have their mezuzahs checked by a scribe,” said Shalom Rice, coordinator of the mezuzah campaign. A kosher mezuzah must be handwritten in safrus calligraphy.

“Through this special observance one connects their home with all Jewish homes around the world,” said Rabbi Yisrael Rice, executive director of Chabad of Marin. “We invite everyone to join this universal Jewish practice and add peace and blessing to the world.”
