The East Bay Jewish Community Teen Foundation is recruiting teen leaders for its 2010–11 board. A program of the Jewish Federation of the East Bay, the board meets once a month on seven Sunday afternoons.

Participants are taught philanthropic and leadership skills, how to work effectively as a group and how to fundraise through the lens of Jewish values. Last year the teen foundation raised more than $36,000 to help nonprofit organizations.

To apply or for information, contact Elana Isaacs, teen foundation director, at (510) 318-6484 or visit www.jfed.org/whatwedo_tf.html. The deadline to apply is Oct. 4.
