Let’s Go: Israel, a program of the Jewish Federation of the East Bay, is currently recruiting 90 teens from across the greater Bay Area for its 2011 summer trip to Israel. The monthlong trip is set for June 20 to July 18, and includes a pre-trip three-day retreat April 29 to May 1, a post-trip reunion and follow-up programs.
The itinerary for the 2011 Let’s Go: Israel trip includes visits to Jerusalem’s Old City, Yad Vashem, Tzfat, Caesarea, the Golan, the Negev, Masada and Eilat, as well as encounters with Druze, Ethiopian and Bedouin communities. Participants also will enjoy Shabbat with host families.
Recruitment is open to incoming high school juniors and seniors. Cost of the trip is $6,400, though financial aid is available. For more information or to register, go to www.LetsGoIsrael.org.
