Yisrael Campbell, creator of the one-man, off-Broadway hit “Circumcise Me,” will be in Palo Alto with a free April 2 performance at Congregation Kol Emeth. The performance is the third annual event sponsored by the Stephanie Sussman Memorial Fund.

“Circumcise Me” recounts Campbell’s journey as an Irish-Italian-Catholic former drug addict to convert to Judaism. Because he had both Reform and Orthodox conversions, he says he’s attended his own brit several times. He lives in Israel.

Campbell performs at 9 p.m. April 2 at Congregation Kol Emeth, 4175 Manuela Ave., Palo Alto. For information, call (650) 948-7498.
