On April 17, more than 10,000 Jewish teens from around the world will come together for J-Serve, volunteering to make a difference in their communities through service.
Bay Area teens can sign up for a morning project online and pick a site of preference. Most opportunities revolve around education; teens may volunteer as tutors or in libraries. Buses will then pick participants up for an event at the Oshman Family JCC from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Originally spearheaded by BBYO, the Official Day of Youth Service is a joint collaboration of PANIM: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values and the Jewish Coalition for Service. For more information, visit www.jserve.org.
