At Brandeis Hillel Day School, we deliver an outstanding K-8 education rooted in Jewish values and exceptional community life on two campuses.

Rich, integrated academics (plus Hebrew and Spanish): Our program offers integrated and challenging academics combining math, science, social studies, Judaic studies, English, Hebrew and Spanish with visual and performing arts, technology, athletics and outdoor education.

Engaged, ethically responsible students:
We live our values and our imperative to repair the world every day, and ensure that our graduates thrive not just as learners but also as active contributors in challenging high school environments and beyond. Our students engage in service learning every day — from developing environmentally responsible lunchtime waste disposal policies to tutoring students at other local schools.

Joyful, thriving classrooms: We focus on the collective dynamic in our classrooms — as well as the individual strengths and challenges of each child. We ensure that our school is a joyful place where we learn and celebrate life each day.

Dedicated, excellent faculty: Our diverse faculty is committed to each child in their classroom as well to their own development as teachers. Our faculty takes full advantage of the many professional growth opportunities we offer in accordance with our mandate to support and encourage continuing excellence in teaching.

A caring, thriving community: Our community life is vibrant and our families on both campuses partner with our school in many ways, ranging from organizing annual book fairs to event-planning to caring for families in need.

Physical well-being and athletics:
Our wellness program touches every aspect of our school life — from well-timed recess periods to regular physical education programs to healthy snacks at school events. In middle school, our students play diverse team and varsity sports, and proudly represent BHDS in sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball and cross country, and participate in local league games and tournaments. On our Marin campus, students swim in the fall and spring as part of their regular physical education program.

A diverse, unique Jewish community: We are a unique kind of Jewish day school — we are not affiliated with any particular movement — and our families come from a broad range of backgrounds representative of our Bay Area Jewish community. We are proud of our educational program, which encourages religious search for meaning through dialogue, inquiry and personal exploration.

Two outstanding facilities: Our two facilities provide dynamic and engaging classroom environments to our nearly 600 students across both campuses. Each campus provides state-of-the arts libraries, computer and science labs, visual and performing arts learning spaces, age-appropriate classrooms and spaces by grade and well as gymnasiums and physical recreation areas.

Our Marin campus enjoys the benefits of association with the adjacent Osher Marin JCC facility, which offers excellent performing arts, presentation and athletics spaces.
