Physical well-being and athletics: Our wellness program touches every aspect of our school life — from well-timed recess periods to regular physical education programs to healthy snacks at school events. In middle school, our students play diverse team and varsity sports, and proudly represent BHDS in sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball and cross country, and participate in local league games and tournaments. On our Marin campus, students swim in the fall and spring as part of their regular physical education program.
A diverse, unique Jewish community: We are a unique kind of Jewish day school — we are not affiliated with any particular movement — and our families come from a broad range of backgrounds representative of our Bay Area Jewish community. We are proud of our educational program, which encourages religious search for meaning through dialogue, inquiry and personal exploration.
Two outstanding facilities: Our two facilities provide dynamic and engaging classroom environments to our nearly 600 students across both campuses. Each campus provides state-of-the arts libraries, computer and science labs, visual and performing arts learning spaces, age-appropriate classrooms and spaces by grade and well as gymnasiums and physical recreation areas.
Our Marin campus enjoys the benefits of association with the adjacent Osher Marin JCC facility, which offers excellent performing arts, presentation and athletics spaces.
