Ethan Bortnick, a 10-year-old piano prodigy, will headline a fundraising concert for Chabad of Greater South Bay. The event, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 in the Schultz Cultural Arts Hall at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center in Palo Alto, honors Carol and Harry Saal for their contributions to the Jewish community.
“The Saals are very well-known philanthropists who have done a lot for the community over the years,” said Chabad Rabbi Yosef Levin, “and have been supporters of Chabad since the early 1980s. They sponsored our first bus.”
The young pianist, a veteran of more than 100 concerts, has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “Good Morning America” and “Oprah.” He frequently performs at philanthropic events, including several for Chabad.
Tickets are $75. For information, call (650) 424-9800 or visit www.chabadgsb.org.
