San Francisco Orthodox Congregation Chevra Thilim has broken ground on a $1.6 million project to renovate its social hall. The project also includes a new floor and ceiling, expanded kitchen, new offices, three classrooms and new bathroom facilities.
According to congregation president David Kimel, the remodel should be completed by High Holy Days next year. Chevra Thilim is located at 751 25th Ave. in the Outer Richmond District.
