A-WA

A-WA (Arabic for “yes”) is an Israeli pop band made up of three sisters who combine traditional Yemenite music with hip-hop and electronica. They’re of Jewish heritage, and they’ve dealt with boycotts against anything Israeli, yet still they’ve become stars across the Arab world. Their highly anticipated show at the Fillmore will be preceded by a Shabbat reception, presented by Reboot and Adam Swig, at Boom Boom Room across the street. Shabbat at 6 p.m.; show at 8. $25 and up.
