“Roman Vishniac. In Focus: 1922-2022”

Two-day event includes a 3-5 p.m. May 1 open house to view digital photos from Magnes’ Roman Vishniac Archive and the current Magnes exhibits, and a 9:30a.m.-5:30 p.m. May 2 symposium on Vishniac, who photographed Jewish life in Eastern Europe and in Israel at end of 1967 war. Symposium also available via livestream. Presented by Magnes and UC Berkeley’s Center for Jewish Studies.
