News David Levy threatens to bolt Likud Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | June 2, 1995 Levy launched a scathing attack on Netanyahu, charging him with using "anti-democratic" methods to drive him and a large group of loyal Likud supporters out of the party. Levy accused Netanyahu of deciding on a primary system that has not been acceptable until now, with the purpose of giving an advantage to the majority group in the Likud, "while eradicating all other groups." Levy says the primary system proposed by Netanyahu is intended to "trample" his camp and not enable its representatives adequate representation. According to Netanyahu's proposal, each participant in the primary elections would vote for 80 percent of the candidates in real places on the list. Levy's people are demanding that each voter marks only 60 percent of the candidates, giving minority groups' candidates a better chance of representation. J. Correspondent Also On J. From the J.
