San Franciscos oldest native, Sidney Amber, at age 109

He also owned a lamp and shade shop.

Amber worked three days a week at Sears until breaking his hip four weeks ago.

He was raised in a non-observant Jewish home in San Francisco.

He attended Lincoln High School.

He was a Mason and a Shriner.

Amber is survived by 14 nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Nov. 20 at Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco.
