Israel and Jordan sign final agreements

The signing ceremony was a festive event, and was carried live by Jordanian television. The agreements signed were among some 18 affixed to the peace accord.

Agreements have already been signed on tourism, border crossings, energy, health, environment, police, trade and economic cooperation, agriculture, transportation and civil aviation.

Three permanent working groups will continue to study the issues of Jordan Valley development, water and the areas of Tsofar and Naharayim, where Jordan leased back to Israel land returned to it under the peace accord.
