His JNF on Campus program reaches hundreds of Jewish college students across the United States.

As a result of his program, a forest, the American Students Forest in Yatir, Israel, was created.

"Yehezkel was completely committed to education and working with students," said Aliza Kline, the national coordinator of JNF on Campus.

Milton Shapiro, the president of JNF, said, "Yehezkel Harel lives on in the young Jews on campuses around the country who are connecting with Israel, Judaism and each other."
