One-day Hebrew workshop set
Lehrhaus Judaica is offering a one-day workshop, “Israeli Hebrew for Travelers,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at its Berkeley headquarters.
The class, taught by Anat Wolins, will impart at least 50 essential phrases. It will also introduce students to the Hebrew alphabet, vowels, and essential pronunciation and sight-reading skills. The class takes place at the Reutlinger Center, 2736 Bancroft Way. Cost is $40 for the public and $25 for students 65 and over. For information, call Lehrhaus at (510) 845-6420.
