South Bay Shorts Jewish arts on display in Woodside

The fair, featuring a juried multimedia show of 125 artists, is located at Kings Mountain Community Center/Fire Station, 13889 Skyline Blvd., Woodside. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, Sunday, Sept. 1 and Monday, Sept. 2. Admission is free. For information, call (415) 851-2710.

Peninsula Sholom to install officers

Peninsula Temple Sholom at 1655 Sebastian Drive in Burlingame will install officers and members of the board of trustees and boards of sisterhood and brotherhood at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6.

Don Woolfe will serve as president of the synagogue. Michele Katz will be sisterhood president and William Feldbrill with be brotherhood president.

Rabbi Gerald Raiskin also will recognize 30 members of the leadership training group who have completed a year of study.

Parents of teens get support from JFCS

Jewish Family and Children's Services of the Peninsula will start a support group for parents of teenagers, facilitated by Naomi C. Schwartz, a licensed clinical social worker.
