For example, travelers from the Cleveland and Detroit areas can take a domestic flight from either of these cities to connect to one of El Al's exclusive nonstop flights from Chicago — at no additional charge. Northern California residents enjoy the same benefits when flying from San Francisco to connect to an El Al flight departing Los Angeles. Travelers from the Boston area can take a domestic flight to connect to one of El Al's six weekly flights from Newark, at no extra charge. Plus, passengers flying from Orlando, Fla., pay the same fare as passengers flying from Miami. *In Israel, El Al is reducing airport check-in time with an innovative new pre-flight service. For a special fee, travelers can arrange advance check-in and security clearance one day prior to departure at the location of their choice. With this service, passengers clear baggage security, receive their boarding card and seat assignment and have their baggage transported directly to Ben-Gurion Airport. On the day of departure, passengers then go directly to the departure terminal and passport control. This service is available in 19 cities in Israel including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Tiberias and Eilat. The charge is $58 per family, plus tax. This service can be arranged through a travel agent prior to departure from the United States, or directly through El Al once the traveler is in Israel. *First-class passengers are also enjoying a new amenity: individually monogrammed towels, which are presented at the end of each flight for freshening up before arrival. This towel is an additional touch to enhance passengers' comfort. Other first-class amenities include cloth slippers, sleep masks, toiletry kits and exclusive gifts. As the world's only kosher airline, El Al offers the widest selection of kosher food, with 22 choices (including a children's menu), in addition to the regular menu. El Al's glatt kosher "Regal" meals are prepared and packed under the rabbinical supervision of Rabbi N.E. Teitelbaum, Volover Rav Shlita, and are certified by the Orthodox Union. The Regal meals, available on El Al flights departing from New York's John F. Kennedy and Newark, N.J., airports, are freshly made and served with a double- wrapped seal. El Al flies more passengers to and from Israel than any other airline, and is the only airline offering first-class service between the United States and Israel. El Al flies to more than 50 destinations worldwide from Israel, including these seven U.S. gateway cities: New York (JFK), Newark, Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Orlando.
