Survivor slates speeches throughout the Bay Area

Vrba, meanwhile, will speak at several other venues. At 7 p.m. Monday, May 5, he will address a Yom HaShoah commemoration at Congregation Beth Am, 26790 Arastradero Rd., Los Altos Hills. Also that day, he will speak to faculty and students at Stanford University, as well as teachers from schools.

The next day at 4 p.m., he will deliver a lecture titled "Resisting Evil: A Personal Account" at Warren Auditorium in Ives Hall at Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park. The lecture is sponsored by the school's Alliance for the Study of the Holocaust.

Then at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, Vrba will deliver the same lecture at U.C. Berkeley's International House, 2299 Piedmont Ave. The lecture is sponsored by Berkeley Hillel.
