Jewish Bulletin wins 3 journalism awards Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | June 27, 1997 Katz took first place in a relatively new category, the David Frank Award for Excellence in Personality Profiles. That category was added to the Rockower Awards in 1995 in memory of Frank, a former editor of the MetroWest Jewish News and then later editor of the International Edition of the Jerusalem Post. Frank died in a tragic car accident in Israel. Katz's profiles of suvivors is a series that the Bulletin will continue to run from time to time. Editors and publishers of American and Canadian Jewish newspapers held their annual conference in Washington last week and met with a number of U.S. senators and visited both the Egyptian and Israeli embassies. During the conference, Bulletin associate publisher Nora Contini was re-elected vice president of the AJPA. Editor and publisher Marc S. Klein, who served as AJPA president for four years, was re-elected to the board of directors. J. Correspondent Also On J.
