San Francisco Shorts Poets to read their contest submissions

Nationally known poets Elaine Terranova, Carol V. Davis and Richard Silberg were judges, selecting winners from works by more than 300 poets in the United States, Canada, Israel, Europe and the Far East.

Meditation pioneer to teach in 3 area cities this month

Rabbi Ted Falcon, a pioneer in Jewish meditation and Kabbalah study, will come to the Bay Area in mid-December for a weekend of teaching.

He will speak twice on Friday, Dec. 19 — after a 6 p.m. creative minyan service and after the potluck dinner — at Congregation Sherith Israel, 2266 California St., S.F. (415) 346-1720.
