At 10 a.m. Jan. 26 — in U.C. Berkeley's Litman Room, eighth floor, Barrows Hall — a session on "American Legacies: Race, Imperialism and Reconciliation" will convene. Speakers will include Naomi Seidman, Cheryl Kirk-Duggan, James Noel and Don Goertzen, all of GTU, and Myra Soifer of Temple Sinai in Reno, Nev.

At 2 p.m. a session on "Ethics, Law and Memory" will take place with Eric Stover, Bill O'Neill, Richard Buxbaum and Jody Ranck, all of U.C. Berkeley and Erich H. Loewy of U.C. Davis.

At 7 p.m. the discussion will be on "South Africa: Justice and Reconciliation" with Kirk-Duggan, Nancy Scheper-Hughes of U.C. Berkeley, Justice Albie Sachs of the Constitutional Court of South Africa, André du Toit of the University of Cape Town and Paul Van Zyl of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of South Africa.
