Correspondent | January 30, 1998 The following Bay Area filmmakers have received grants from the NFJC's Fund for Jewish Documentary Filmmaking: Deborah Kaufman of Berkeley, for "Blacks and Jews"; Alan Snitow of Berkeley, also for "Blacks and Jews"; Marcia Jarmel of San Francisco, for "The Return of Sarah's Daughters." The following Bay Area individuals or organizations have received a grant from the NFJC's New Play Commissions in Jewish Theater: A Traveling Jewish Theatre (Corey Fischer, Albert Greenberg, Naomi Newman), for productions of The Yiddish Poetry Project (1995) and David Grossman's "See: Under Love" (1997); Centerstage in San Rafael (Lane Nishikawa, Victor Talmadge), for "The Gate of Heaven."
