German role in Holocaust

Daniel Goldhagen, author of "Hitler's Willing Executioners," will speak on "Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 at Congregation Beth David, 19700 Prospect Road, Saratoga.

Four-week series on practical parenting starts at PJCC Feb. 3

A four-week series of workshops on practical parenting will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 3 through Feb. 24 at Peninsula Jewish Community Center, 2440 Carlmont Drive, Belmont.

The co-sponsor is Peninsula Parents Place. Topics will include "Positive Family Communications," "Parents as Successful Role Models," "Planning for Success" and "150 Ways to Show Kids You Care."
