New chairman

Steve Leavitt has become chairman of the board of trustees of the Jewish Museum San Francisco. He replaces Fred Levinson, who served as chairman from 1995 through 1997. Leavitt retired in 1993 from Teknekron, a consortium of engineers and scientists associated with U.C. Berkeley, but remains active on its board. He has been a board member of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, president of the United Jewish Community Centers and a member of the board of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation and its executive committee.
