Bycel, a visiting professor at the Claremont School of Theology, will reflect on the contributions of Abraham Joshua Heschel in honor of the Jewish thinker's 25th yahrzeit. The program will follow 8 p.m. services Friday, March 13. The rabbi will discuss the topic "The Sabbath: Its Relevance in the Turbulent World of the `90s" at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14. He will discuss "Transforming the Ordinary into the Sacred: Creating a Life of Meaning" at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 15. All programs are free. The synagogue is located at 170 N.
