Jewish groups, funds offer financial aid to campers

Grants from the Jewish Community Endowment Newhouse Fund and the Albert L. Schultz and Janet A. Schultz Supporting Foundation of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund will enable the S.F.-based Bureau of Jewish Education to offer camperships and interest-free loans. Funds can be used for Camps Alonim, Ramah, Arazim Solomon Schechter, Tawonga, Moshava Bnei Akiva, Swig and Newman as well as B'nai B'rith Camp.

Last summer, 212 campers were awarded financial aid from the Newhouse Fund and the Schultz Supporting Foundation.
