Also at the ALSJCC, a class on "Four Conundra in Biblical and Postbiblical Archaeology of Israel" will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The teacher will be David Meir-Levi, a former instructor of biblical and Near Eastern archaeology at the Hebrew University Jerusalem, and current president of Congregation Kol Emeth in Los Altos.

The course will address the Genesis narrative in light of archeology and the historicity of the Synoptic Gospels. Cost is $32 for members of the South Peninsula Learning Consortium and $40 for non-members.
