Palo Alto day school breaks new ground

The Mid-Peninsula Jewish Community Day School, a private school serving grades kindergarten through five, plans a groundbreaking ceremony today to mark the beginning of construction of its new campus.

The 1.5 acre site is adjacent to the school’s current location at the Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center, 655 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto.

The new campus will accommodate two classes per grade. A pilot sixth grade is scheduled to begin in the fall, and a middle school extending to eighth grade will start in fall of 1999.
