Weeklong seminar focuses on women

An eight-day seminar on "Women Building Our Future" will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Chabad House of San Francisco, 2950 Anza St.

Sessions will include meditation, creative writing, Hebrew calligraphy, tambourine playing and communal food preparation.

The seminar will conclude with a concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6 at Joe's Cafe, 468 Bush St., fourth floor, S.F.

Nonstop Israel flights offered all summer

El Al Israel Airlines has adjusted its summer schedule to offer nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv Monday through Thursday and Saturday evenings for a total of five weekly flights. The summer offer lasts through Sept. 5.
