Chocmat HaLev to hold six-day Jewish meditation Chochmat HaLev will hold a summer session in Jewish meditation Sunday to Friday at its Berkeley site, 2525 Eighth St., No. 13. Beginners and seasoned meditators are welcome. The six-day program will explore the basics of the tradition, found in kabbalistic, Mussar and Chassidic mystical sources. Students will develop their own meditative practice, learning from traditional and contemporary sources. Teachers will be available for private consultations. Faculty includes Chochmat HaLev founder and co-director Avram Davis, co-director Nan Fink and Rabbi Alan Lew of the Conservative Congregation Beth Sholom in San Francisco. The program is $225.
