She is a former board member of American Jewish Congress, S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation, Bureau of Jewish Education and Women's Interfaith Dialogue on the Middle East. She was assistant professor in the Graduate School of Education at Seton Hall University. During her tenure there, she founded the Office of Drug Abuse Prevention Education for the Newark Board of Education in New Jersey. Sanford Gallanter is founder of the Aspen Group Inc., a company that rehabilitates housing for low- and moderate-income families and has created more than 2,000 low-income housing units in New Jersey, San Francisco and San Jose. He is an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco Graduate School of Education.
