Rabbi David White will address “Criticism: Ways to Respond to it at Home and at Work”on Nov. 17.
Kari Ann Owen will speak on “The Birth of Israel and the Intelligence Community: A Story of Secret Wars” — an analytical and history overview of the role of Western espionage agencies during Israel’s early days of independence — Nov. 24.
All sessions begin at 7:30 p.m. Cost for the series is $45 general admission, or $35 for members of JCC of S.F. and Young Adults Division of S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation — the co-sponsors of the series. Individual lectures are $10 for non-members and $8 for members.
In addition, a class on “Single and Thriving” taught by Laura Bloom, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 at JCC of S.F.
She will discuss coping skills for individuals who are single well beyond their 20s or 30s.
And Nancy Capulet will offer “How to Meet Your Mate Online” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16.
Cost for either is $10 general admission, $8 for JCC of S.F. members and $5 for S.F. Hillel students.
