Correspondent | October 23, 1998 Born in Berlin, he grew up in British-mandated Palestine, became active in the pre-state underground, and at an early age began using a camera to document the changes taking place in Israel. He is the only Israeli photographer affiliated with the prestigious Magnum collective. He lives in Ramat Gan with his wife, Orna, an artist, and their two sons. There is no charge for this event, which is sponsored by Tzavta, the Israel Project of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation's Israel Center and the Jewish Community Relations Council.
