On Sept. 21, 1999, Munich Re signed a stipulation to provide reinsurance treaties and policyholder lists for Victoria, a Munich Re affiliate. In January, however, Munich Re failed to provide any relevant documents.
At two subsequent hearings, state investigators still felt Munich Re had failed to fulfill its agreements. On Feb. 23, a judge ruled that Munich Re is under the jurisdiction of the California insurance commissioner.
The March 20 hearing will be held in San Francisco.
