Ukranian girl wins contest celebrating righteous of the world Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | October 13, 2000 UHM, which ran the contest in 12 countries around the world, seeks to honor and provide support and medical care for "the righteous of the world" — the thousands of non-Jews who saved Jews during the Holocaust. While many of the names, such as Oskar Schindler and Raoul Wallenberg, are well known, UHM also seeks to honor and provide for the thousands of people who remain unknown. In addition to establishing a new medical center in Kiev, UHM is also attempting to build monuments to the righteous in several international cities, including San Francisco. The agency, which is seeking donations and support, can be reached at (415) 567-5082 or [email protected] J. Correspondent Also On J. Religion Who is Elijah anyway?
