News BJE feast to whet appetites for learning next month Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | January 26, 2001 The feast will include talks on biblical and contemporary Jewish heroes as well as explorations of what it means to live heroically. Most of the events take place at synagogues and Jewish community facilities, and the majority are free and open to the public. There are also "Lunch and Learn" sessions in offices with local scholars. For those who want to bring the feast home, the BJE has compiled booklets that provide activity ideas and food for study. The Jewish Community Library in San Francisco will hold a special exhibit from Sunday to March 1 titled "Displays of Courage: Artists Represent the Jewish Response to Heroism." A calendar of events will run in a special section of the Jewish Bulletin on Friday, Feb. 2.
