Correspondent | January 26, 2001 The installation uses reproductions of photographs, documents, posters, and newspaper articles in addition to video and film footage to tell about the 1936 Games. The accounts include the U.S. boycott debate, the success of black athlete Jesse Owens, the banning of Jewish athletes and Hitler's plan to hold all Olympic Games after 1940 in a Nuremberg stadium. The exhibit is funded in part by the city of Chico, Cal State Chico Modern Jewish and Israel Studies Program, Associated Students, the Chico Area Interfaith Council and Building Bridges.
