Twenty-five thousand dollars is the goal in the modern Orthodox shul's first ever telethon. The drawing is scheduled for two weeks from Sunday.

Eleven volunteers will start phoning at 9 a.m. Sunday and will continue calling the synagogue's 175 members and others in the community until the goal is met, Press Wulf said.

"If you don't call us we'll call you," she said.
