Correspondent | February 9, 2001 Topics for workshops include "The Youth Initiative: Strengthening Your Temple Youth Program," "Integrating Torah and Worship into Every Aspect of Synagogue Life, "Making Board and Committee Service a Spiritual Jewish Experience" and "Technology: Computers and Web Pages." Leaders of workshops include Rabbi Lawrence Raphael, director of the UAHC's department of adult Jewish growth; Rabbi Laurence Rubinstein, director of the UAHC's development department; and Dale Glasser, director of the UAHC's department of synagogue management. Rabbi Samuel Joseph, professor of Jewish education at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, will serve as the event's scholar-in-residence. He will lead a two-part seminar on synagogue transformation. Rabbi Daniel Freelander of the UAHC will also lead two workshops. Registration, which costs $250 per person, is available for clergy, professional staff and members of the UAHC congregations through the Pacific Central West office.
