Palestinian radio reports Israeli mother killed baby

"Its about time that the world realizes who we are dealing with: a bunch of Nazi monsters," said Noam Arnon, spokesman for the Hebron Jewish community Tuesday, responding to the Voice of Palestine broadcast.

"Not only the Arab murderer who pressed his finger on the trigger but the entire Palestinian public who supports such feelings must be destroyed," he said.

Channel 1 quoted the Palestinian Authority radio station as saying it was not responsible for the information in the broadcast because it was based on reports from an Internet site.

Meanwhile, the official Palestinian media have come under attack for playing down political opposition to the Authority.

Kayis Abu Leila, a leader of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said every six months, an opposition representative is given airtime, but only after undergoing heavy censorship. Especially unpopular with Authority censors, he said, is anything not in line with Authority policy. — Jerusalem Post
