At 7:30 p.m. Monday, "Yom HaShoah V'ha Gevurah" (Holocaust and Bravery Remembrance Day) is scheduled at Congregation B'nai Tikvah, 25 Hillcroft Way, Walnut Creek. An event with the same name is slated for 8 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Sinai, 27th and Webster streets, Oakland. For information on either of these events, call (510) 839-2900, ext. 253. In the South Bay, Temple Beth Jacob, 1550 Alameda de las Pulgas, Redwood City, will host a remembrance at 7 p.m. Monday. Knud Dyby, member of the Danish underground during World War II and a member of the Danish-Swedish Refugee Service, and Dr. Michael Thaler, former president of the Holocaust Center of Northern California and survivor of the Brzezany Ghetto, are the featured speakers.
