The sponsor of the “Rally for the Wall Between Church and State” is the Bay Area Communities of Reason, a group formed in November by 11 “nontheistic” organizations, including Kol Hadash.
Lea, a Hayward resident who founded BACOR, said she was alarmed by the call to prayer and repeated attempts by Bush’s administration to erode the separation between church and state.
