Birthday and Chanukah candles to be lit at Ner Tamid
Congregation Ner Tamid and its women’s group will host a combination birthday party and Chanukah celebration at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. Gisella Katz, who turns 97, will be honored by Rabbi Moshe Levin and Cantor Rudy Hassid in a Chanukah service followed by dinner.
The event will be held at the synagogue, 1250 Quintara St., San Francisco. Tickets are $18 for adults, $9 for children ages 10 to 15 and free for children under 10. Reservations should be made by Dec. 2. For information, call (415) 661-3383.
